New faces

We are very pleased to have welcomed wonderful people to the network, and we are growing every day to support more and more destitute asylum seekers in Bristol.

Linda Nunns – Finance and Admin Manager

Hi, I am the new Finance and Admin Manager for BHN. As an accountant I have worked in the Voluntary Sector, in a Finance capacity , for over 30 years for many organisations. I have also been involved in many campaigns fighting against racism and oppression in all its forms. l am a founder member of Calais Refugee Solidarity Bristol, which since 2015 has helped to provide humanitarian aid, shelter and food for the refugees in Calais and Dunkirk and I have volunteered in the camp several times. I am looking forward to working with BHN, an organisation that puts diversity and Human Rights as well as community involvement at the top of its agenda.

Leila Nicholas – Trustee

I have worked in the charity sector for the past seven years, managing a range of local and national volunteer projects. I currently work as Development Manager for the national walking charity, the Ramblers. Since moving to Bristol from London last year, I had been looking for the right organisation to give my time to. I was motivated to become a trustee of Bristol Hospitality Network because I am passionate about the work we do and the focus on solidarity and empowerment. My role as trustee is particularly focused on the volunteer approach and member involvement.

We have also welcomed Catherine Bowen as a trustee in recent months, although for personal reasons she will be taking a break from BHN activities. We would like to thank Catherine for her invaluable contribution to our network.
