Our people
James joined the trustees in May 2022. He has a masters degree in International Development and over the last decade has worked with NGOs in Africa and as a trustee with development charities in Bristol. He has a keen interest in climate change mitigation and adaption strategies.
Laura has been a trustee for BHN since 2018. She is the Finance Director of a community interest company that invests in impactful projects and housing. She is interested in sustainability and believes that everyone should have a safe place to live and the opportunity to fulfil on what really matters to them.
Emmanuel is one of our members. He has been a member of BHN's advisory Board and now serves on the Board of Trustees.
Anita joined the Board of Trustees as Treasurer in November 2022. She is an accountant with full AAT membership and a bachelors degree with honours in Accounting and Finance from Birmingham City University. She works in finance for a housing association. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Asma is a BHN hosted member and regularly attends our Drop In. She is the trustee responsible for leading on member voice and a member of our advisory board. Asma is studying for a masters degree in Law.
Emmanuel joined us in January 2024, he is now Co Chair with James. He is also on the advisory board and has responsibility for our hosting worktream
Mijanou is the Managing Director of BHN and started with us in December 2022. She works with our excellent staff team to deliver BHN's services

Helen is our Welcome Centre Manager and ensures the smooth running of our Monday Drop In. She is also our EDI and Member Voice Lead.
Kule is our Kitchen Coordinator and one of our Moveable Feast Chefs
Linda is our Finance Manager.
Elinor is our Advice Manager. She runs our advice service and sessions at our Monday Drop In
Carol is our Data and Monitoring and evaluation coordinator.
Bibiana is our Moveable Feast Coordinator and temporary volunteer Coordinator
